Kvarner Wines is a proud partner of the Porto Gastro Festival - at the end of August, we present The Best of Kvarner Wines at Kantrida and connect wine, gastronomy, indigenous varieties and the most important development projects of the wine-producing Kvarner region.
At the end of August, the authentic port of Kantrida becomes a meeting place for top-notch gastronomy, wine, local products and people who create the contemporary identity of Kvarner.
We are especially proud that Kvarner Wines partner of the Porto Gastro Festival, which is held within the framework of the project Kvarner – European Region of Gastronomy 2026.
We bring to Kantrida THE BEST OF KVARNER WINES - a representative selection of wines by members of Kvarner Wines that shows the diversity of terroir, autochthonous varieties and styles of our wine region.
We will present wines from all 11 Kvarner Wines wineries:

The Porto Gastro Festival is exactly what Kvarner Wines wants to encourage – connecting winemakers, chefs, restaurants, local producers, the tourism sector and guests into a unique eno-gastronomic experience of the destination.
Our role is therefore not just to present wines. We want to show how wine can become one of the key elements of the identity of Kvarner, its gastronomy and tourist offer.
Along with The Best of Kvarner Wines, we will also present the projects by which Kvarner Wines has systematically developed and internationalized the wine region in recent years:
Kvarner – European Region of Gastronomy 2026. – a project that connects wine, gastronomy, local products, culture and people into a common destination identity.
Kvarner Wine Route – a project for the development and international positioning of the Kvarner wine destination, also connected to the European Cultural Route of Vine and Wine Iter Vitis – Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.
Žlahtina – Kvarner Wines Queen – a project through which we want to further valorize Žlahtina as one of the most important indigenous varieties of Kvarner and turn it into a strong eno-gastronomic and tourist symbol of the destination.
It is through projects like these that Kvarner Wines connects wine production, profession, marketing, gastronomy, tourism and international promotion, creating a platform that gives our winemakers greater visibility, and Kvarner a stronger and more recognizable identity as a wine region.
The Porto Gastro Festival will be an opportunity to meet the people, products and flavors that create the gastronomic scene of Kvarner today, all in one place.
