In recent years, Kvarner Wines has been building a model of a boutique wine region in which value does not arise from volume, but from authenticity, quality, connection and a clear market identity.

The association is currently developing a whole system of projects in parallel: WineRi – Kvarner International Wine Festival, Kvarner Trophy, Žlahtina – Kvarner Wines Queen, The Kvarner Way, KWARE – Kvarner Wine AI Route Ecosystem, Quarner Quality and Kvarner Olive Oil. Each of these projects has its own function, but they only make marketing sense when viewed as a whole.

Wine is the starting point, but the goal is broader: to connect winemakers with restaurants and chefs, local food producers, the tourism sector, events, distributors, institutions, culture and international partners.

The autochthonous varieties - žlahtina, sansigot, yarbola, kastavska belica and trojiščina - are not only part of the wine heritage. They are our most direct answer to the question of what makes Kvarner different: indigenous grapes, Mediterranean flavors and an authentic Mediterranean Way of Life. They are the market differentiation of Kvarner. At a time when many regions offer similar international varieties and similar tourist products, authenticity becomes a competitive advantage.

That's why Kvarner Wines does not build a series of unrelated events. It builds a system. The festival brings the audience and the market. Trophy brings expertise and evaluation. Žlahtina Queen builds an icon of the variety. The route connects space and experiences. KWARE introduces personalization, digitization and AI. Quarner Quality and Kvarner Olive Oil spread the story beyond wine towards the complete identity of the destination.

Such intensity and breadth of activities position Kvarner Wines among the most active and innovative wine associations in Croatia, but more importantly – they demonstrate the marketing logic of the entire system. The goal is not to do more projects for the sake of the number of activities, but for each project to enhance the value of the other.

Particularly important for such development is the continuous and exceptional support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Republic of Croatia, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, CPRR PGŽ and the Kvarner Tourist Board. This partnership enables ideas to be transformed into concrete activities for winemakers, local producers and the destination.

Our ambition is not to become the biggest wine region. We want to position Kvarner as the home of indigenous grapes, Mediterranean flavors & a unique way of life. The ambition is for Kvarner to become one of the most recognisable, best connected and marketing wisest positioned boutique wine regions of the Mediterranean.

Kvarner Wines – Taste the Kvarner Way.

Kvarner nije velika vinska regija po površinama i količinama – i upravo u tome može biti njegova prednost.
