The secretary will participate and represent the Association in all activities with him. <strong>Miroslav Palinkas<\/strong> from the Pavlomir Wine House from Novi Vinodolski, last year&#039;s president of the Association. All activities will be carried out operationally by the director <strong>Zarko Stilin<\/strong>, also the manager of the Winemakers&#039; Cooperative of the Kvarner Wine Producers&#039; Organization. The support is carried out through individual projects and activities of the association, but also through the representation of the products of the members of the Association in Ka\u0161etica Primorsko-Goranska and inclusion in the consortium of the project Kvarner - European Region of Gastronomy 2026. Most of the activities in 2025 are aimed at promoting Kvarner as an exceptional eno-gastronomic region with great agricultural products, and all as preparations for the coming year 2026, in which Kvarner will be under international media and marketing attention thanks to the European Region of Gastronomy project. \u2013 gastronomic spotlights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">The Kvarner Wines Association enters the year 2025 with the presentation of a brochure <strong><em>Kvarner Wines News<\/em><\/strong> as a unique educational and promotional material containing information about indigenous varieties, award-winning wines, the European Region of Gastronomy, interviews with brand ambassadors, interviews with winemakers and sommelier descriptions of all wines, and the Wine Alphabet, a kind of small wine school of famous sommeliers. The material was created with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the Kvarner Tourist Board, as well as a number of tourist boards in Lovran, Kastav, Novi Vinodolski, Malinska \u2013 Duba\u0161nica, Punat, Krk and Vrbnik, as well as business associates and partners. The brochure contains a whole range of information that will be useful to tourism workers and the entire HoReCa market and is available online at <a href=\"https:\/\/kvarner.wine\/en\/multimedija\/\">https:\/\/kvarner.wine\/multimedija\/<\/a>. At the same time, a new website was programmed and launched <a href=\"https:\/\/kvarner.wine\/en\/\">www.kvarner.wine<\/a> which brings together all the information from the brochure. In collaboration with the companies Fidelio and Croata, the Kvarner Wines Association has created official uniforms \u2013 jackets, bow ties, ties and scarves, as well as clothing labels (badges) to be worn by members and brand ambassadors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">From this year, in 2025, the Kvarner Wines Association will elect ambassadors of the Kvarner Wines brand for a one-year period who have rights and obligations towards the association and promotion of wine, winemakers and the eno-gastronomic region of Kvarner. The Kvarner Wines brand ambassadors for 2025 are: <strong>Klaudio Jur\u010di\u0107, \u010caslav Matijevi\u0107, Lucija Matijevi\u0107, Ines Mati\u0107 Mate\u0161kovi\u0107, Marinela Mrkonja, Monika Neral, Josip Ori\u0161kovi\u0107, Tomislav Pavle\u0161i\u0107, \u017darko Stilin and Martina \u0160karica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">One of the significant projects in 2025 is the launch of a marketing platform <strong><em>Kvarner Wine Route<\/em><\/strong> which will bring together municipalities and cities, tourist boards and food producers and event organizers that can be connected to wine. Members of this marketing platform, who are also members of the Kvarner Quality Association, will be represented and promoted through the channels and activities of the Kvarner Wines Association. The ultimate goal is, in cooperation with the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the Kvarner Tourist Board and the Association <em>Village members club<\/em> The entire platform, which brings together a number of entities in Kvarner, should be registered for international <em>Iter Vitis Route<\/em> proclaimed by the European Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">In addition to the Kvarner Wines Route project, a new feature in 2025 is wine evaluation <strong>Kvarner International Wine Trophy<\/strong> which will be held on 7.3.2025. at Pr\u0161utana Gospoja in Vrbnik. The Kvarner Wines Association will organize an international wine evaluation modeled after famous world evaluations with certified evaluators so that Kvarner can demonstrate its excellence and commitment to wine and gastronomy in this segment as well. The evaluators will be international and experienced, and the evaluation itself will take place on 7 March in Vrbnik on the island of Krk at Pr\u0161utana Gospoja. As part of the Kvarner International Wine Trophy wine evaluation, special awards will be awarded for wines made from indigenous Croatian varieties. Sparkling, white, ros\u00e9, red, amber, sweet and organic wines will be evaluated, and the awards will be awarded as part of the International Wine and Gastronomy Festival WineRi. The goal is to make this evaluation widely recognizable and objective and potentially expand it to other agricultural products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Since 2017, it has been held in Rijeka <strong>International wine and food festival WineRi<\/strong> which will be held again this year at the Export Drvo congress center on the Delta on March 21 and 22 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This year&#039;s WineRi will bring together a maximum of 100 exhibitors, and in cooperation with the Wine&amp;Co wine shop and the Srce za nju Association, a series of workshops and masterclasses will be held. Regional wine organizations Gra\u0161evina Croatica, Bregovita Hrvatska and Vino Dalmacija, as well as the MasterClass of Kvarner wines, confirmed their workshops on Wednesday, while two health panels and masterclasses presenting wineries will be held during the festival. Registration for exhibitors is open from today on the website <a href=\"https:\/\/kvarner.wine\/en\/prijava-wineri-2025\/\">https:\/\/kvarner.wine\/prijava-wineri-2025\/<\/a>, and tickets for all visitors were released for sale at a price of \u20ac30 through the Eventim system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventim.hr\/hr\/ulaznice\/wineri-rijeka-exportdrvo-662755\/event.html\">https:\/\/www.eventim.hr\/hr\/ulaznice\/wineri-rijeka-exportdrvo-662755\/event.html<\/a> (with a discount of 15% until 20.2.2025, after which it will be possible to buy at full price). A novelty at this year&#039;s festival will be the possibility of purchasing vouchers for tasting special, rare and special wines, and all lovers of good wine will be able to taste wines that are difficult to find on the market or are difficult to access. In cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka, a presentation of the gastronomy of Rijeka and the Rijeka Ring will be organized, and a panel on indigenous varieties of Croatia and a presentation of the activities of the European Region of Gastronomy are also planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">In addition to WineRia, the Kvarner Wines Association will participate in a number of fairs and events in Kvarner, Croatia and Europe. As co-organizers, they participate in the events In vino veritas Punat, Ru\u017eica Vinodola Novi Vinodolski, Dani vina Vrbnik and Bela nedeja Kastav, and in Kvarner they will also participate in many events organized by the tourist boards of Malinska \u2013 Duba\u0161nica, Lovran, Crikvenica and Rijeka. In addition to the festival, winemakers will send their wines to prestigious international wine competitions such as Decanter, Concourse de Mondial Bruxelles, Frankfurt International Wine Trophy, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">\u201e&quot;I am extremely grateful to everyone who supports our work, first and foremost are the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, i.e. the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development PG\u017d and the Tourist Board of Kvarner, as well as a number of municipalities, cities and tourist boards, without which we would not be one of the most agile and recognizable wine organizations in the country. Presiding over such an organization is first and foremost an honor and pride, but also an obligation to do more in the years behind us. The Opatija Riviera, the Crikvenica-Vinodol Riviera, the islands of Krk, Cres, Lo\u0161inj and Rab, the city of Rijeka and its surroundings, as well as Gorski Kotar, the forest-mountainous region of Kvarner, are a guarantee of diversity in every respect and in every season. &quot;The winemakers gathered in the Kvarner Wines Association fit perfectly into this picture, who, with their tireless work and promotion, contribute to the recognition of the region. The Kvarner Region has always been a region of top-notch gastronomy and excellent wines, a favorite destination for lovers of gastronomic experiences. In wineries with the &quot;Kvarner Wines&quot; label, wines are tasted that are produced from indigenous varieties exclusively from that micro-location, and the most famous varieties are \u017dlahtina from white wines and Sansigot from Kvarner red wines. If we add Krk prosciutto, homemade cheese, Kvarner shrimp, Rab cake, Gorski kotar forest fruits and game, Cres lamb to that wine, and season everything with olive oil, all that remains on our gastronomic journey through Kvarner is to say &quot;Enjoy and cheers!&quot;, Per\u0161i\u0107 \u017divadinov pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">The Director of the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Dalibor \u0160o\u0161tari\u0107, said that the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, as one of the leading tourist destinations in Croatia, is also recognizable for its rich enological offer of indigenous grape varieties. \u201cOur Kvarner is rich in numerous indigenous grape varieties, dominated by \u017dlahtina, white grapes from the Krk and Vinodol vineyards, and in recent years we have been encouraging the revitalization of viticulture in valuable locations \u2013 Zvone\u0107anski <em>presidencies<\/em><strong>, <\/strong><em>Bakarski<\/em> terraces and Kastav vineyards. Through our Center for Agriculture and Rural Development, we encourage the renewal of plantations and various cultures so that in the palette of &quot;original&quot; we have the best that this region has to offer through its gastronomy. Through &quot;Ka\u0161etica Primorsko Goranska&quot; we help our winemakers with promotion and branding to make their way to the market easier, and make the offer and quality recognizable.
